Lofty in nature is the prince, square and solid inlimb and chest, his hair cut short as convenient forhis helmet, his upper lip, after the Norman fashion,covered with a thick moustache which mingledwith his beard, light brown in colour, and long andluxuriant. Somewhat prominent large hazel eyeslook out of a well-moulded face remarkable formildness of expression, his whole personality sin-gularly engaging, an impression only heightenedas the fine curves of his lips open with the candourof a natural smile.
