Original description:
Oldham Mumps station 1978 with train departing
A Manchester train leaves the bay platform at Oldham Mumps. To the right of the station is the cotton warehouse serving the former Glodwick Road station. The Oldham by-pass is immediately to the left of the foreground fencing. The hills around Dobcross rise behind the station.(Reusing this file)
What ever happened to Mumps? Trains used to run around the station and now it is a basic two platform station! Oldham used to be a major part of the Railway industry, and now they are being wiped off the map for metrolink trams.
