English: Paoli Battlefield Site and Parade Grounds on NRHP since October 23, 1997. The site is roughly bounded by Warren, and Monument Avenues, and Sugartown Road, in Malvern (NOT Paoli), Chester County, Pennsylvania. This shows parts of the old obelisk, and in the background the new obelisk that replaced it. The wall supposedly encloses the graves of the "Paoli Massacre" - Continental soldiers under Mad Anthony Wayne, who lost an embarrassing battle here.
