Está localizada en el pueblo más alto de la isla con 2,000 pies sobre el nivel del mar. La Parroquia San José ha sido declarada un monumento histórico nacional y la misma fue construida en 1887. Es de estilo gótico con un altar hecho de madera y yeso y laminado en oro. Fue la última parroquia construida en Puerto Rico bajo el dominio de España.
