The Russian Museum Law, article 36, restricts anyone from: using images of museum objects and collections; buildings, museums and sites on museum grounds; and the names and symbols of museums; — on replicated products and consumer goods without authorization by the museum in question (see below). These restrictions are independent of the copyright status of the depicted work.
