Some labels:
- South of al-Aqsa (Old al-Aqsa) is here believed to be « ruines de l'ancienne abside de la mosquée » (“the mosque's old apse's ruins”).
- There are two places labelled « mosquée d’Omar » here. It was a European nickname for the Dome of the Rock. The Musalla of Omar is still translated as such.
- Present-day al-Aqsa Library: « mosquée d’Abou-Bekr (ancienne salle d’armes des Templiers) » (“Abu Bakr's mosque (former Templar armory)”).
- Present Islamic Museum: « Mosquée des Mogrebins » (“Mosque of the Maghrebis”) & « minaret » (al-Fakhriyya Minaret)
- Southwest of the compound: the « Kakouret (Ḥâkoûret) el-Khatouniyé (Jardin potager [de la noble]) » = Ḥākūrat al-Khātūniyya (Garden of the Noblewoman) (حاكورة الخاتونيـة). A ḥākūra is a cultivated estate or vegetable garden. Aka Arḍ al-Khātūniyya (أَرْض الخاتونيـة). Now replaced by a square in the Jerusalem Archaeological Park.
