File:Plan Of Carlton Palace In 1821.jpg

A plan of "Carlton Palace" in London, dated 1821. This building is much more often called Carlton House, but this plan was made in the brief period between the Prince Regent's accession to the throne as King George IV and the demolition of the mansion.

The lower plan shows the ground floor. The upper plan shows the suite of reception rooms on the south side of the house, which was at basement level approaching from the entrance on the northern side, but at ground level in the garden, due to the slope of the site. The rest of this level, comprising service rooms, is not shown. There was also an upper floor, which is not shown. The stable block was detached and was located at the eastern end of the garden.

The scale bar at the bottom shows 100 feet (30.5 metres).
