English: LOCATED AT THE JUNCTION OF RIVER ROAD AND LANDING ROAD. TOWN EXISTED FROM 1710 UNTIL THE1870’S/ IT WAS HEAVILY DAMAGED BY OCCUPATION OF HESSIAN TROOPS IN THE REVOLUTION. HOWEVER IT PROSPERED AFTERWARD UNTIL BETTER PORTS LED TO ITS DEMISE. IT EXISTED ON BOTH SIDES OF LANDING ROAD BUT NOTHING REMAINS TODAY. THIS PICTURE LOOKS DOWN FROM THE CORNELIUS LOW HOUSE RIGHT ONTO THE JUNCTION OF RIVER ROAD AND LANDING ROAD |

THERE IS NOTHING TO BE SEEN OF THE EXCAVATIONS IN JOHNSON PARK. THERE IS A SIGN RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CORNELIUS LOW HOUSE AND I SHALL SEND THAT SIGN TO GO WITH THE RARITAN LANDING SITE
