Railblock on the Taunton Stop Line near Donyatt, OS reference ST341137
One of a pair of blocks that allowed the railway line (now disused) to be blocked quickly by insetting a barrier such as a section of rail. The mass of concrete stands on a foundation and is about 5 feet high. There are several such railblocks nearby.
The Rail Block was intended to stop enemy tracked vehicles from travelling along the railway route.
