El día de hoy, durante un encuentro entre el Presidente Enrique Peña Nieto, Leonardo DiCaprio, Carlos Slim Helú y altos funcionarios del gobierno, se firmó un Memorándum de Entendimiento, por el cual se acordó adquirir mayores compromisos para proteger los ecosistemas marinos en el Golfo de California.
Este esfuerzo establece objetivos específicos que buscan detener la pesca ilegal y proteger la vida marina, incluyendo a las vaquitas marinas.
