English: The Richmond Kelley Smoot House located in Austin, Texas, United States. Smoot designed the house, which was built in 1877 by contractors R.J. Loving and J.M. Maxwell. Reverend Smoot married William Sydney Porter (pen name O. Henry) and Athol Estes in the parlor of the house July 1, 1887. The house was designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1965 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 12, 1982. |
