File:Roman, Figurine (FindID 776152).jpg

Emma Durham kindly comments:

The Cupid is very typical of the pieces found in Britain, the majority of which are in this stance, looking up and with the right arm raised. More generally the hair is in ringlets rather than the bun which this piece has. There are a number of Cupids like this from northern Britain, but they tend to have longer, skinnier limbs and bodies. This chubbier version is more similar to an example from Avebury or a larger statuette from Cirencester which is also wingless. This is a nice piece which is unfortunately in bad condition.
