1) Try to look fearless. Set up right at the end of the pier, without railings, just as it's starting to get dark. 2) Try to look cool. If an enormous cargo ship passes within inches of you, ignore it completely. 3) Don't waste energy. Ignore the mad woman pointing a camera and waving. Not worth the effort.
