File:Stanford Mansion (3815117553) (cropped).jpg

The Stanfords lived in Sacramento (and other parts of California) for the bulk of their adult life.

When their teen aged son died, they donated the land to the State of California for Stanford University.

This mansion was their home for a while, and then a guest home for when they visited Sacramento. It was restored and reopened in 2005.

Some of these were shot with my LensBaby and sepia toned for effect Date Source Stanford Mansion Author Larry Jacobsen from Cheyenne Wyoming Other versions
