Statue of William Dennis, outside Kirton Town Hall, Kirton, Lincolnshire (<a href="http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-192109-statue-to-william-dennis-in-front-of-kir" rel="nofollow">Grade II</a>). This sculpture by P. Lindsey Clark dates to 1930 and is carved from ashlar and bronze with a portland stone base. The base has three carved panels representing potato production, drainage and wheat growing. The insciption reads "William Dennis 1841-1924". Dennis made his fortune with a huge potato empire at the turn of the century and gave Kirton its town hall.
