Polish WW2 Tankette
Manufacturer:- Fabryka Samochodów PZInż.
Built:- 1931 to 1939
Total production:- 575 (all models)
Main Armament:- 7.92mm km wz.25 (Hotchkiss) machine gun
The Polish TK series Tankette were based on the British Carden Lloyd chassis, but with an improved hull and engine. The TKS variant of 1933 had a further improved hull fitted with new suspension and engine.
The TK was the only armour available to the Polish during the 1939 German invasion. Useless against most German armour, they were used for reconnaissance and infantry support.
This example is on display in what is best known as Hall 5 of the Kubinka Tank Museum, although its official title is now Pavilion 5 in Area 2 of the Park Patriot museum.
