File:The Green Lake, Rotokakahi.jpg
This was most stunning lake in Rotorua's Lake District. As it is tapu, or sacred, to Māori, nobody is allowed to swim, fish, or sail there. From the sky it appears green due to its shallow, sandy bottom. The name is also apt given the amount of greenery around it.
