Monument to Prince Józef Poniatowski in Warsaw, by w:Bertel Thorvaldsen. Carved by the sculptor in w:1826-w:1827. Initially it stood in front of the w:Saski Palace. During w:World War II it was dismantled by the w:Germans and transferred to Germany. It was smelted as scrap-metal. A new mould sculpture was made on the order of Danish government after the model preserved in the Danish National Museum and was presented to Poland 1951.
