English: William Barrett Washburn ( January 31, 1820October 5, 1887) was an American politician from Massachusetts, serving in the United States House of Representatives and as Governor of Massachusetts. Born in 1820 in Winchendon, he was the son of Asa and Phoebe (Whitney) Washburn and brother of Nelson Phinehas Washburn.
