English: William Crutchfield was a American politician and a member of the United States House of Representatives for the 3rd congressional district of Tennessee. He was born on November 16, 1824 in Greeneville in Greene County. He attended the common schools, moved to McMinn County in 1840, and remained there for four years before settling in Jacksonville, Alabama in 1844.
