Gülveren, Midyat
Gülveren (Kurdish: Behwar; Syriac: Baḥwar) is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Midyat, Mardin Province in Turkey. The village is populated by Kurds of the Dermemikan tribe and had a population of 668 in 2021.
History
Baḥwar (today called Gülveren) was historically inhabited by Syriac Orthodox Assyrians. In 1914, there were 100 Assyrians in the village, according to the list presented to the Paris Peace Conference by the Assyro-Chaldean delegation.
