The Glen High School is a public English medium co-educational high school situated in the suburb of Waterkloof Glen in Pretoria in the Gauteng province of South Africa with an enrollment of approximately 1,200 pupils.

Scottish background

It proudly showcases its Scottish heritage through its unique student leadership attire. The Heads of Clans have a kilt as part of their uniform while the President, Deputy-President, Treasurer and Secretary wear tartan ties, embracing the school 's rich cultural tradition.

Clans

The Glen High school is organized into four distinct clans, each with its own unique Identity, represented by a specific colour, song and motto. Leadership is shared between two Heads of clan, one male and one female for each clan. The clans each have a clan evening once a year where they perform a One Act Play and various skits. The clans also compete in sports such as athletics, swimming, basketball and tennis. The clans are:

Sport

Sport is not compulsory, although, grade 8 learners are expected to attend most of the sports meetings as spectators.

The school offers a range of excellent facilities, including a 25-metre swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, a basketball court (indoor and outdoor), a rock-climbing wall and hockey fields.

The Glen High School is part of the Pretoria English Medium High Schools Athletics Association (PEMHSAA).

Council of Pupils

The school has a student governance structure called The Council of Pupils (COP), which is led by a President and Deputy President, elected annually in August for the upcoming year. The COP also consists of various student-led committees.
