Iwashiro Station

Iwashiro Station (岩代駅, Iwashiro-eki) is a passenger railway station in located in the town of Minabe, Hidaka District, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West).

Lines

Iwashiro Station is served by the Kisei Main Line (Kinokuni Line), and is located 299.6 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Kameyama Station and 119.4 kilometers from Shingū.

Station layout

The station consists of two opposed side platforms connected to the station building by a footbridge. The station is unattended.

History

Iwashiro Station opened on September 21, 1931. With the privatization of the Japan National Railways (JNR) on April 1, 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan Railway Company.
