Megalo Eleftherochori

Megalo Eleftherochori (Greek: Μεγάλο Ελευθεροχώρι, pronounced [meˈɣalo elefθeroˈxori]) is a village and a community of the Elassona municipality. Before the 2011 local government reform it was a part of the municipality of Potamia, of which it was a municipal district. The community of Megalo Eleftherochori covers an area of 40.779 km. Within the bounds of the community is the site of the ancient town of Ericinium.

The population of Megalo Eleftherochori is occupied in animal husbandry and agriculture (mainly tobacco).
