Mohakhali Flyover

Mohakhali Flyover (Bengali: মহাখালী উড়ালসেতু) is a flyover located at Mohakhali in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The first ever flyover in Bangladesh. Although the construction of Khilgaon flyover was started first, the construction of Mohakhali flyover was completed earlier and inaugurated before Khilgaon flyover. That is why Mohakhali flyover can be recognized as the country's first flyover.

Construction of the Mohakhali flyover began in December 2001 and was opened to traffic in November 2004. The length of this flyover is 1.12 km built with the help of 19 strong pillars. 7.5 m wide road and 0.6 m footpath on both sides for vehicular movement. The flyover took about three years to complete at a cost of about 114 crore Taka.
