Monbulk College
History
Monbulk College was founded in 1963, with the school celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2013.
Building works
Stage 1 and 2
In 2015, the 2015–2016 Victorian State Government Budget allocated $3 million for the Stage 1 redevelopment. The construction of Stage 1 began in January 2018, and was officially opened in May 2019, with a new administration area, library and classroom. In 2017, the school received an additional $7.5 million in the 2017–18 State Budget for the Stage 2 redevelopment. New classrooms and specialist spaces for teaching information and communication technology, new lighting and surface improvements for the oval, and a new netball court were built. The construction of Stage 2 was completed in Q3 2019.
Stage 3
In 2018, the school received an additional $8.51 million in the 2018–19 State Budget, as well as an additional $935,000 in the 2019–2020 State Budget. The school also received $8.415 million in 2020. A new STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) building and a new sports pavilion with change rooms were built. The construction of Stage 3 began in Q2 2018 and was completed in Q3 2022.
