Mount Elliot, Shipwreck
The “Mount Elliot” is a shipwreck of a lighter vessel, (not rigged) with a gross tonnage of 370.0. Wrecked in 1937 in Moreton Bay in Queensland (south of Brisbane). The mask, derrick, boiler and three winches were salvaged from the wreck in March 1939.

History
The vessel had previously founded off Townsville in 1919 but was refloated.
The vessel was reported to be lost on 29/1/1937 in Moreton Bay. Another reference says the 31/1/1937.
Tourism
The area near the Mount Elliot shipwreck is also a fishing location.
