Newton-on-Rawcliffe
Newton-on-Rawcliffe is a village and civil parish (as Newton) in North Yorkshire, England. It is in the North York Moors National Park, 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Pickering. From 1974 to 2023 it was part of the Ryedale district.
History
The settlement is listed in the Domesday Book, and the name means new farm. The village has a small pond in the village green, and houses on either side of the main road through the village alongside the green.
