Nindaroo

Nindaroo is a rural locality in the Mackay Region, Queensland, Australia. In the 2021 census, Nindaroo had a population of 255 people.

History

Nindaroo Provisional School opened on 27 February 1899. On 1 January 1909 it became Nindaroo State School, before closing in 1963. The school was located at 1 Boveys Road, corner of Mackay Habana Road (21°04′56″S 149°08′31″E / 21.08220°S 149.14186°E / -21.08220; 149.14186 (Nindaroo State School (former))), now in neighbouring Richmond.

Demographics

In the 2016 census Nindaroo had a population of 239 people.

In the 2021 census, Nindaroo had a population of 255 people.
