Nong Bua Subdistrict Municipality
History
Nong Bua was established as a Tambon Administrative Organization (TAO) on December 16, 1996. In 2002, the TAO moved to its current location at 100 Mu 4, Tambon(Subdistrict) Nong Bua, Chai Prakan District, Chiang Mai. The TAO was upgraded to a Thesaban Tambon on October 27, 2009
Geography
Nong Bua is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains and forests. The landscape is characterized by rolling hills, streams, and fertile agricultural land. The municipality covers an area of 83.33 square kilometers (approximately 52,081 rai), encompassing 11 villages. The climate is typical of Northern Thailand, with three distinct seasons: a hot season from March to May, a rainy season from June to October, and a cool season from November to February.
