Oullins-Pierre-Bénite

Oullins-Pierre-Bénite (French pronunciation: [ulɛ̃ pjɛʁ benit]) is a commune in the Metropolis of Lyon in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in eastern France. It was established on 1 January 2024, with the merger of the communes of Oullins and Pierre-Bénite.

It is a suburb of the city of Lyon, and is adjacent to it on the southwest.

History

The new municipality was officially established on 1 January 1, 2024 by decree of 12 December 2023, with the transformation of the two old communes into "delegated communes".
