Pašiliai, Kėdainiai

Pašiliai ('place by pinewood', formerly Russian: Подборкъ, Polish: Podborek) is a village in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the village had a population of 197 people. It is located 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) from Labūnava, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from Kėdainiai, on the left bank of the Nevėžis river, next to the Pašiliai Forest.

Pašiliai is a collective gardening area (gardening cooperatives "Vasara", "Kooperatyvas", "Pašilė", "Kristalas", "Obelėlė", "Kosmosas", "Progresas" are located here). There is a former cemetery place, a former folwark building with relics of a park.

History

In the beginning of the 20th century there was Pašiliai (Podborek) estate and folwark. During the Soviet era it was transformed into Kėdainiai collective gardening area.
