Peru Township, LaSalle County, Illinois

Peru Township is located in LaSalle County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 10,732 and it contained 4,971 housing units. Peru Township was originally named Salisbury Township, but was changed on September 27, 1856.

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 17.98 square miles (46.6 km), of which 17.48 square miles (45.3 km) (or 97.22%) is land and 0.51 square miles (1.3 km) (or 2.84%) is water.
