Petrovice (Hungarian: Trencsénpéteri) is a village and municipality in Bytča District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1312.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 371 m (1,217 ft) and covers an area of 32.357 km (12.493 sq mi) and has a population of about 1,500 people.
