Sanford School is a co-educational private school located in Hockessin, Delaware, that serves students from preschool to high school.

The school was founded by Sanford and Ellen Sawin as the 'Sunny Hills School' on September 23, 1930. The school's name was changed to 'Sanford School' in 1966.

Sports

Sanford School competes in interscholastic sports as a member of the Delaware Independent School Conference.

Sanford School is known for its basketball prowess, having won 10 boys basketball state championships, more than any other school. The Warriors have also won 5 girls basketball state championships. They are the first school to win both the girls and boys state basketball championships for two consecutive years in 2010 and 2011.
