History
Southeast Township was named from its position in the southeastern corner of Orange County.

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 53.33 square miles (138.1 km), of which 53.21 square miles (137.8 km) (or 99.77%) is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 km) (or 0.23%) is water.
