Southland Regional Council (branded as
Environment Southland) (
Māori:
Te Taiao Tonga) is the southernmost
regional council in
New Zealand, administering the
Southland Region, including
Stewart Island. In 2006, it had an operating revenue of NZ$19.6 million, NZ$7.1 million of this from rates revenue.

- Southland has a coat of arms, granted on September 2 1983 by the Lord Lyon King of Arms. The blazon is:

- Quarterly, first, Or, on a reedy mount vert a Notornis bird Proper, beaked and membered Gules (for Southland); second, Gules, a dexter arm vambraced, the hand brandishing a sword Proper (for Wallace); third, Azure, three piles wavy issuant from the dexter bendways Argent (for Fiordland); fourth, Or, an island Vert surmounted of a fess chequy Azure and Argent (for Stewart Island).
