Hello! I'll have a review written for this article before the end of the week. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 04:42, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
Krisgabwoosh, I've completed the review and posted it below. The main thing I'm interested in is whether there's more coverage of his time as a deputy. I know that sometimes it's hard to find sources for individual legislatures, but it would be helpful if there was anything else he did that was reported on. Other than that, it should just be a few minor fixes. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 06:21, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Thebiguglyalien: Hi! I am abroad in Bolivia right now. My return flight is 30 July. I hope to address this review sometime during the first week of August if you'll allow it. Cheers! Krisgabwoosh (talk) 22:18, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's no problem! Thebiguglyalien (talk) 23:17, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
Lead:
He served as vice president and president
– This makes it seem like they were at the same time. Maybe it should be "served as vice president and then president"?
Infobox:
- Most of the information in the infobox is unsourced. Just like with the lead, each claim in the infobox should be sourced somewhere in the body.
Early life and career:
Calle attended primary and intermediate at the Holland and Félix Reyes Ortiz schools
– Saying that he "attended primary and intermediate at" doesn't really make sense. Maybe "completed his primary and intermediate studies at"?Calle entered as an assistant at his brother-in-law's handbag factory at age 12
– I'm not sure what "entered as an assistant" means. Is it supposed to be? He began working as an assistant? Or that he entered the leather industry as an assistant?vice president of the Departmental Federation of Micro and Small Enterprises of La Paz
– The article doesn't say anything about how he got this position. Was in an elected office? Did someone appoint him?
Election:
- The first sentence in this section runs on. Instead of putting a sentence inside of another sentence, it should probably be rewritten as two or three separate sentences.
who had been the second-most voted candidate
– I suggest changing this to either "who had been the second-most voted for candidate" or "who had received the second most votes".
Tenure:
- He was in office for five years. Is that draft bill really the only notable thing he did in that time?
Ramírez – the now-president of CONAMYPE
– In this case, does "now-president" mean that Ramírez was its president at the time Calle's term ended, or that he's now president in 2024? Because it sounds like it's talking about 2024.
Electoral history:
- This is entirely up to you, but since there's only one row of information here, you could just write the percentage and the number of votes in the election section. But it's also fine as is.
References (checked through machine translation):
- Gonzales Salas 2013, p. 151 (both uses) – Good.
- Romero Ballivián 2018, pp. 120, 485 – Good.
- Fornillo 2008, p. 5 – Good.
- Página Siete 2013b (all three uses) – Good. It's arguable that there's some inference going on here, like how presenting the "Ley Micro y Pequeño Empresario" means that
Calle's legislative priorities centered on the needs of the micro-enterprise sector
. But generally speaking the source does support the claims in the article. - El Deber 2017 – This article doesn't say anything about Calle. How do we know it's a finalized rendition of Calle's bill and not some other bill with a similar goal?
