Template:Remove Border
Any text from the border should instead be in the caption. If the border has author or license information, add it to the file's EXIF information.
To crop the image yourself, use the CropTool.
If cropping a JPEG, consider using a lossless cropping tool such as jpegtran. This maintenance template is part of the Wikipedia project, not the encyclopedia proper. Any images bearing this template are automatically added to Category:Images with borders, which is a subcategory of Category:Image files for cleanup.

displays the standard text with an additional explanation that appears below the standard text.
