Union Township is located in Livingston County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 240 and it contained 98 housing units. Union Township formed from Odell Township in 1864.

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 35.26 square miles (91.3 km), of which 35.23 square miles (91.2 km) (or 99.91%) is land and 0.03 square miles (0.078 km) (or 0.09%) is water.
