• I was toppic banned once from article about Pavle Đurišić. Here is how administrator who banned me explained the reason for my ban: "His previous topic ban was due to a perception that discussions involving him would never reach a conclusion, which led to a judgment of bad faith participation." - I pointed to more than 50 issues of the article in question, submitted sources with translation if it was necessary and proposed exactly how to resolve them. More than 30 of them (more than 60%) were resolved by reaching a consensus at article's talkpage.
• I was topic banned on 20 July 2014 "in topics involving 'Serbs and Serbia 1900-current' (broadly construed)" because ................................ The editor who reported me stated in discussion about my ban appeal: "....he now promises to strictly adhere to policies. I seem to recall that that's sort of exactly what happened the last time - he used every method imaginable that stayed roughly within the realm of a cursory interpretation of the policies, while still pushing his POV and gnawing at our collective patience."
  • the ban consensus was borderline at best.
  • my plan in the topic area I was banned from for a probation of one year two years includes:
    • 0RR restriction
    • limiting the amount of comments I make to a particular thread to one per day, two totally, including the amount of times I responded to other users' comment in the specific thread. If after 2 comments I wrote to a specific thread there is still no consensus reached regarding some content or conduct dispute, I oblige myself to use relevant noticeboards or WP:DR tools. I underline here that I was wrong and made mistake for not doing it before.
    • If any of above mentioned editors explicitly express concern about my conduct, I oblige myself to report myself a to relevant noticeboard.
    • limiting the amount of times I mention the same thing on a talk page to zero.
    • limiting the amount of new sections I make on a talk page to one per month, two per year

We could have an endless list of "According to X he was this, according to Y he was that". Picking out only one such author to the exclusion of others would be obviously tendentious; providing the whole list would be idiotic. Either way, any such statement, if presented in the form and in the kind of context envisaged here, would still trigger the implication that we are treating the terms in the modern sense and as a mutually exclusive dichotomy. Any treatment in such terms would mean undue weight on a perceived "dispute" that exists only in your mind and nowhere else. We are currently not ascribing any ethnicity to him, and that's just fine. We are naming his place of origin (which is in Greece, undoubtedly); we are naming his family (which was Albanian, undoubtedly); no reliable source in the literature has so far felt it necessary to engage in any more discussion of what these facts mean in terms of ethnicity, beyond characterizing him in passing, so there is absolutely no reason for us to shoehorn more ethnicity-centered discussion into the article at this point. Anybody who tries to do so is an ideologically driven agenda-pusher.
