Papannapet or Papannapeta (Telugu: పాపన్నపేట) is a Mandal in Medak district of Andhra Pradesh, India.

It is bounded by Sankarampet, Tekmal, Kulcharam and Medak mandals of Medak district and Nizamabad district.

Once upon a time.this village name also called as "సమాస్తానం పాపన్నపేట".because this village was rulled by the Grate Queen Shankaramma(శంకరమ్మ ).by taking the captial of this village she rulled some villages.Know we can see some of gadi's(గడి ),కోటలు ,hills in this village.


Edupayala Durga Bhavani temple

Culture

There is famous Edupayala Vana Durga Bhavani temple in Nagasanpalli village.It is located at the forest. Edupayala jatara is considered to be the second largest congregation of devotees after the Sammakka-Sarakka jatara in Telangana region.Every year two to three lakhs of people going to attend the jatara. It has been accorded state festival last year.
