A nephew once asked me when he was quite young Who dies? I said Everyone dies
No use denying it one day you're done
Oh everyone dies
Princes & paupers there's no one immune
And no one who'll escape their demise
So you'd better make use of each day that you're given
Oh everyone dies
Now people have pondered this time and again
Who dies? Everyone dies
Some suspect that we're more than mere mortal remains
Oh everyone dies
Wise men & prophets they've all had their say
On the nature of afterlives
But since there's no beer there we'll have one more round
Oh everyone dies
Your time may be short or your time may be long Who dies? Everyone dies.
But it's going to happen as sure as you're born
Oh everyone dies
Friends and relations and all we hold dear
Will one day pass to the other side
So we'd better embrace them as long as they're here
Oh everyone dies

Temporary semi-protection: Addition of unsourced or poorly sourced content. For at least 3 weeks. Out of precaution, admittedly, since the Chiefs (and the Eagles) are heading to Super Bowl LIX. 2601AC47 (talk·contribs·my rights) Isn't a IP anon 14:56, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. A day or so ago this might have been justified, but that dispute seems to have cooled. And "Out of precaution, admittedly" is basically a request for pre-emptive protection, which outside of certain situations in ArbCom cases we don't grant. Daniel Case (talk) 22:43, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
Temporary pending changes: Highly politicized article with inevitable potential for POV pushing, which has already seen some IP edits be reverted. (Yes, I'm aware there is a current deletion discussion and a current move request for this, but the deletion discussion seems decided on keeping it and the move request wouldn't prevent protection.). Reason: Requesting permanent pending changes protection. Over the years this article has been prone to vandalism, spam and promotional additions from new and anonymous users. These edits, however, have come in waves, and unfortunately they are sometimes unnoticed. Take for example the edits this month. I think this article would benefit from protection that does not restrict editing but subjects it to review, as many of the appropriate edits are from less experienced editors, but also many of the inappropriate ones. Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin on their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page, please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected, please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.

I've seen this editor's work on multiple occasions at New Page Review. Has created 208 pages, none deleted, more than 3/4 of them B-class. High-quality page creation with infoboxes, quality references with proper formatting, images, etc., requiring no cleanup by reviewers. Dclemens1971 (talk) 17:38, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
I'm concerned that many of the articles on lifeboat stations don't meet GNG. After looking at a random sampling of them, most of them cite the Lifeboat Enthusiasts Society (of which Martin states they are a member of on their talk page), which appears to be an WP:SPS, and The Lifeboat, a publication of the RNLI, which is not an independent source. voorts (talk/contributions) 03:15, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
@Voorts I would have thought the same thing when I first encountered these articles, but there are several independent published sources on these lifesaving stations. Whenever I've done a BEFORE search on one, I always find GNG-qualifying sourcing. This came up in an AfD for one of Ojsyork's creations last year (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bamburgh Castle Lifeboat Station), which resulted in a "keep". I would like to request auto-patrolled rights on Wikipedia. I have been actively contributing to the project and have created more than 30 of articles to date, which adhere to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I believe my experience and attention to detail make me a good fit for this role. Granting me auto-patrolled rights would help reduce the workload on other patrollers by automatically marking my new pages as reviewed.
Please feel free to review my contributions and articles to ensure they meet the necessary standards. Let me know if any additional information is required.

I am requesting the autopatrolled user right because I have been actively contributing to Wikipedia and believe that my experience and adherence to Wikipedia's guidelines make me a suitable candidate for this right, I have created over 25 articles, all of which comply with Wikipedia's notability guidelines and content policies. My contributions have consistently aimed to enhance the quality and reliability of the encyclopedia.
I believe that granting me the autopatrolled user right will help reduce the workload of new page patrollers and allow me to continue contributing to Wikipedia more efficiently. Thank you for considering my request. Ahola .O (talk)
(Non-administrator comment) You are currently not adding to the "workload of new page patrollers", in fact, your creations need to be watched closely. Not when I specifically told you here that the pieces you presented to inquire about Bobo Ajudua are thrash and nonsensical and told you to focus elsewhere instead of on an article that has been deleted several times. Yet, you went ahead to create it, and now, it has been deleted again? via AfD. And this? Your creations need to be watched and that is what the NPP is for. Hi @Schwede66, I hope you enjoyed your vacation. I have sourced the DOB in the early life section as per WP:INFOBOXREF. I followed the editing style of Geniac, the way he improved Sheezan Khan and tried adapting the same. Thanks C1K98V 08:48, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
Thanks, I had a fab wee holiday. I don't understand your answer. I see that there is one ref in the infobox, and that reference does confirm the date of birth, but it is attached to the spouse only. Could you please explain what you mean, and how the referencing confirms the date of birth, C1K98V? Schwede66 08:59, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
Schwede66 In the above mentioned article I have sourced the date of birth in the Early life section, see here. And the spouse's source is just about their marriage. I'm following the editing style of Geniac, the improvement he did in one of my previously created article see here. Thanks C1K98V 09:38, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
Sorry, which reference states the date of Vig's date of birth? I cannot see it. Schwede66 18:29, 19 January 2025 (UTC)
Schwede66, I have used two sources for DOB, Colors TV and India Today. You can find both the sources in the Early life section. Hope it helps, if you still can't verify the birth date, you're most welcome to remove it. Thanks C1K98V 18:50, 19 January 2025 (UTC)
Hi Vanderwaalforces, I'm not sure if the Colorstv website works outside of India. Let's wait for Schwede66 to confirm if they're able to verify it. I'm sharing a screenshot of the website for reference [1]. While searching for sources related to their academics, I found IndiaToday and added it later in the Early life section. I repositioned the named citation as I wanted to highlight it for Schwede66, so I left an edit summary too. Thanks for your consideration. C1K98V 03:43, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

Hello. I am requesting this permission as I would be interested to help at the near-permanent New Pages Feed backlog, when my other work here allows me to do so. I am aware of the relevant content policies and guidelines, especially when it comes to NPOV and BLP. If granted, I intend to use it responsibly, like I do with my other permissions. As for my own record, I have created over 600 articles so far, with few deleted. I already have autopatrolled and rollback permissions. I'm accustomed to creating articles and redirects, and I'm fully conversant with Wikipedia policies and guidelines. I've co-nominated three articles for FAC (all promoted) and contributed to many other FACs. I've been a pending changes reviewer since May 2020, and I like to think I am fair and neutral in any discussions that I get involved in. Recently active back at RM for the past three months after being extremely active many years ago. I was brought to MR twice in 2013 & 2015 and in both cases my closure was endorsed. I have !voted recently in most of the recent months of MR and always aligned with consensus. Spent the last three months getting reacquainted with the changes in policy and approaches to RM's and have started to perform some closures. Would appreciate the bit to help reduce the need for CSD#G6 and/or RM/TR to complete some of these moves. Thanks! TiggerJay(talk) 08:47, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
Do you find yourself actually needing this, or are you just ticking the box because you meet the minimum requirements? I note that you have an RM/TR request and a couple of G6's, but otherwise not much in the way of necessity so far. Primefac (talk) 15:21, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
Currently I'm avoiding some NAC because I am not really a fan of using TR because what I've found is that the admin who does perform the TR ends up doing all of the busy work (post move cleanup). IMHO the closer should perform the dirty work of cleaning up the move, and I'm happy to do so. I would see myself closing more discussions if the bit was available. That is the reason for the low number of current TR/G6, but you can see the frequency I previously require those tools prior to a wikibreak over at my CSD log. For me the bit is not about hat collecting, but rather simply because I'm getting back involved in Wiki (due to life-schedule changes) and as a formerly trusted and well-reputed RM-NAC, these tools would make more closures with follow-on work accessible. TiggerJay(talk) 01:36, 27 January 2025 (UTC)

I’m requesting rollback tool to help with vandalism fighting more effectively. I’ve been active in counter-vandalism work and have a good understanding of policies like WP:VAND and WP:AGF. While I’ve made mistakes in the past, I’ve taken the feedback onboard, slowed down, and focused on making more accurate judgements.
Rollback would allow me to handle clear vandalism more efficiently without cluttering edit histories. I’m committed to using it responsibly and only for obvious cases of vandalism, leaving more complex issues for discussion or reporting.
Thank you for considering my request. Footballnerd2007 • talk ⚽ 17:27, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
I am re-requesting rollback after being denied around the end of December for not being consistent enough in RC patrol to meet the criteria. I understand that now and have come back with hopefully having reverted obvious and blatant vandalism more consistently over the past month. As always, I assume good faith, and when it comes to recent changes, if I see something that I'm not quite sure is vandalism or not, I won't undo it. I am well-versed in the different warning templates and when to use each one, and I know when it is appropriate to report to WP:AIV. Rollback will help me quickly undo the very obvious and problematic vandalism that I might catch on RC. Fishy-Finns (talk) 19:43, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
