- 1000 Māori place names at NZHistory is not a reliable source. Eg, there are two errors with the macrons for Onekaka alone. The NZHistory team should be ashamed.

- A reminder of why I've avoided RfA: An admin who passed by a healthy margin in Jan 2021 said "RFA was an unpleasant experience for me, and if I'd known exactly what to expect beforehand, I would not have run." And another.
Māori language
I graduated with a BA majoring in Māori many years ago. I can contribute with some confidence regarding use of Māori words and phrases in the English Wikipedia.
