Oktyabr is the Russian word for "October" spelled out in the Latin alphabet. It refers to the Russian Revolution of 1917, which is also known as "Red October". No, I'm not a communist :P.

I'm a longtime Wiki user, and I felt that I should take the opportunity to contribute what I can. My biggest passion is politics, but I'm also interested in history, geography, law, biography and current events.
