Hello, Wikipedians! I am Vicenarian (IPA: /vɪsəˈnɛɹiən/), also known as "The V-Man," and this is my user page. My little boxes down the side will help you get a sense of who I am and what I do. The sections below will give you additional details about my current work, what I have done in the past and some of my projects planned for the future. The WikiStress meter to the right will tell you my current state of mind, and you can see my current editing status in the right-hand corner above.
In sum, I am who I am, and though my tasks and responsibilities around here are many, my ultimate goal is to prevent Wikipedia from ever being labeled like this:
A fact from the article Insectivorous Plants (book), which this user created or significantly contributed to, has been featured in the Did you know... section on the Main Page.
A fact from the article DC FEMS, which this user created or significantly contributed to, has been featured in the Did you know... section on the Main Page.
A fact from the article Zero Hour (play), which this user created or significantly contributed to, has been featured in the Did you know... section on the Main Page.
This user successfully nominated 1 article by others that featured in the Did you know... section on the Main Page.
This user is not an -ist. They prefer to use common sense.
This alleged user can be said to maintain an ill-defined policy or other custom of neutrality or other ambiguity-related quality on some or all issues that may be potentially controversial to some alleged people.
I am a member of the Mediation Cabal, Wikipedia's non-existent, informal, non-binding content dispute mediation team. If talk page discussion has failed, we are happy to help. Remember: Don't edit war - talk more! You can help, too. Below are cases currently in need of volunteer mediators:
For diligence in keeping the nooks, crannies and crevasses free from unwanted content and for doing so in an infectiously lighthearted manner, I hereby award you this long-overdue Barnstar of Good Humor, or "humour" as the case my be. A job well done! PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:30, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
As your adopter, I am honored to have the chance to give you this barnstar. We need more editors like you; vandal fighters who are fully armed with Huggle and raring to go. For your massively valiant efforts at battling vandalism, I give you this award. Enjoy! :D →Dylan620 (Toolbox Alpha, Beta) 20:38, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
For conspicuous gallantry in the face of a very persistent vandal, it is my honor and privilege to bestow this Anti-Vandalism Barnstar upon you this day. You more than earned this and I only wish there was a better way to express my gratitude and that of the others who volunteer their time on this site. PMDrive1061 (talk) 20:27, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
The Working Man's Barnstar
I, Katerenka, hereby award you, Vicenarian, the Working Man's Barnstar. Specifically for your work with copy editing and reference formatting on Ruthie Henshall and Scott Boerma. Generally for all the hard work you do, whether it be vandal fighting, sock tagging or essay writing. Thank you for your work. :) –Katerenka 01:31, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
The Barnstar of Good Humor
For maintaining good humor through vandalism, edit warring, general ignorance, and just making me laugh amidst the chaos of editing, I award thee this barnstar. May your sarcasm, wit, and good acumen continue to prevail. Cactusjump (talk) 17:38, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
The "'Random idiot user who Spongefrog doesn't hate for some reason' of the 2½-day period" Award
Congratulations! For your friendliness, contributions, existence, tact, skill in dealing with a multitude of anonymous vandals who hit your pages, knowledge of obscure guidelines and essays that I've never heard of, and, finally, not being an idiot, I award you with this, soon to be prestigious, award: The "RIUWSDHFSROT2½DP" Award. The Resilient Barnstar
The Resilient Barnstar may be given to any editor who learns and improves from criticisms, never lets mistakes or blunders impede their growth as Wikipedians, or has the ability to recover/finish with a smile. All of which are qualities of Vicenarian. Accounting4Taste:talk 23:04, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
For all your hard work in vandal fighting, article contributions, for being very kind to others, and for being an excellent user in general, I award you this barnstar. Enjoy! --[midnight comet][talk] 17:50, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Est omnino difficile iudicare inclusionis meritum cuiusdam rei in encyclopædia cum ratio sciendi quid populi referat incerta sit, sed nihilominus aliquid encyclopædiam dedecet
It is generally difficult to judge the worthiness of a particular topic for inclusion in an encyclopedia considering that there is no certain way to know what interests people, but some topics nevertheless are not fit for an encyclopedia.
This motto reflects the desire of these Wikipedians to be reluctant, but not entirely unwilling, to remove articles from Wikipedia.
