User Talk:Fangusu

For anyone considering any unblock requests (via UTRS presumably), please be aware that Fangusu has been evading their block - see User talk:172.58.24.53 and User talk:172.56.40.140. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:27, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've been moving those requests to this page's archive: [1] [2]. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 16:19, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've updated the archive to include all four of the IP unblock requests that I know about. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:55, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Note that I have blocked Fangusu from UTRS for six months for making repeated unblock requests that essentially duplicate those made here.--Jezebel's Ponyo 20:32, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there's a grain of good news in that, at least she's reading what we've been telling her. Now if she'll just get to the "six months" part. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 20:41, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Block evasion occurred on 2016-09-19, see 134.154.20.152 (talk · contribs). Six months will have elapsed on 2017-03-19. --Yamla (talk) 14:47, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

For anyone else considering an unblock request, please also see Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Fangusu, which shows she has been socking continuously for eight years, and is still at it. Unblocking her after six months would be extremely generous. Ivanvector (/Edits) 16:41, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This user's block prevents editing this page or sending email, due to years and years of abuse. Realistically, their only remaining venue of appeal is WP:ARBCOM. However, given they are still, after more than eight years, evading their block, ARBCOM is highly unlikely to be willing to consider the appeal at this time. Fangusu needs to show some modicum of good faith by refraining from any further ban evasion for at least six months and, given the history of evasion, probably considerably longer. --Yamla (talk) 18:59, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There's been another one at User talk:172.56.38.244. It's not worth copying them all the this page's archive, but it's probably worth keeping one every few months, so I've copied this one there too. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 19:27, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, but I can say for sure that the 1-month block of this other IP range is because of Fangusu. Ivanvector (/Edits) 19:50, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Ivanvector: Nope, I was going after Judtojud (see this ANI discussion) ... but wow that IP range has caused an awful lot of problems. Graham87 01:13, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock instructions

Fangusu, lots of editors have told you exactly what you need to do if you want to be unblocked. Here it is one more time. Read this and follow these instructions, otherwise you will not be unblocked. This is paraphrased from our policy at WP:SOCKBLOCK.

  1. Do not edit from any account nor while logged out anywhere on English Wikipedia. No edits at all. For six months.
  2. After six months of not editing at all, and send a request to the Arbitration Committee using arbcom-l@lists.wikimedia.org.

Those are the two things you need to do if you want to be unblocked. We could not be more clear. This is the only way. I guarantee it.

  • If you choose not to follow these instructions, you will not be unblocked.
  • If you make a request on any user's talk page, you will not be unblocked.
  • If you make a request prior to six months with no edits, you will not be unblocked.
  • If you make any edit at all, no matter how constructive, anywhere on English Wikipedia, your edit will be removed, and you will not be unblocked.
  • If you show that you can follow these instructions exactly, we will take it as a sign that you can follow the rules here, and it is possible that you will be unblocked.

Six months from today is November 9, 2017. If you respect your siteban and do not attempt to edit Wikipedia at all, then make a proper request to the Arbitration Committee as instructed above after November 9, 2017, your request will be considered. Otherwise, the answer is and always will be no. (Modified from this original by Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 15:52, 3 February 2016 (UTC)) - Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:10, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

UTRS request made and declined today (see UTRS#19724 for those with permissions). Have advised user to email Arbcom, per the instructions above. Yunshui  15:10, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I would be happy to present the contents of your UTRS request. However, the outcome would not be in your favor.-- Deepfriedokra 03:14, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
