User Talk:Fastily
Honestly, I'd hate to lose you as an admin just because of things you've been involved in, but I'm curious about where the community stands in regards to you. Cheers! George Ho (talk) 22:16, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

Where to put workpages?
I noticed that you deleted a temporary workpage I created at Talk:Gitmo playlist/Temp. My understanding from Wikipedia:Workpages was that a workpage like this was fine, but I suppose it could be outdated. Other than my User subpages, is there any place I could place a temporary workpage like this in the future? Based5290 :3 (talk) 08:57, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Based5290. I've never heard of a "workpage" until today. As a talk page of a non-existent content page, this is eligible for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#G8. Is there any reason why you can't use a subpage in your userspace? -Fastily 09:28, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- I thought that Talk:Gitmo playlist/Temp was a subpage which explicitly fell under Wikipedia:Subpages#Allowed uses. I'll probably move it over to my userspace, but I think I just wanted to make it more explicit that it was a draft change to the article that others could contribute to while the move discussion was ongoing. - Appreciate the clarification. For the record, SOP is to use your userspace for drafting changes. Anyhow, restored. -Fastily 09:41, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Based5290 The template {{G8-exempt}} exists to mark pages that might seem to fall under speedy deletion criterion G8 but do not and/or should be kept for some reason. Its use is not mandatory, but it can help avoid situations like this. Thryduulf (talk) 23:16, 15 November 2024 (UTC)

Petition passed
Hi Fastily. The petition for you to make a re-request for adminship has succeeded. You may initiate a re-request for adminship during the next 30 days or become a candidate in an admin election. If you do not do either within a reasonable time frame, bureaucrats will have the discretion to remove your administrator privileges. There's more information on Wikipedia:Administrator recall. Best regards, —Alalch E. 23:06, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Fastily, you were my RfA nominator nearly 15 years ago so this saddens me somewhat. I don't agree with everything that was said at the recall petition but clearly there are some concerns about the volume and haste of your deletion and, more importantly, your responsiveness to questions about your actions. Much as with Graham87, I think these are concerns that could be addressed and the recall process was rather hasty. If you plan on doing things differently to address the community's concerns, and you need any help or advice (potentially as far as a nomination statement), I'd be happy to do what I can. You can get me on-wiki or by email. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 22:57, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
- And ditto from me on what HJ Mitchell said. -- Whpq (talk) 03:34, 18 November 2024 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Database reports/Transclusions of non-existent templates not updating
Wikipedia:Database reports/Transclusions of non-existent templates has not been updated by your bot for three days. It usually updates daily. Thanks for taking a look if you have time. – Jonesey95 (talk) 22:05, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Jonesey95. Thanks for the message, yes, this is deliberate. Unfortunately I will be no longer able to maintain these reports. My SQL query is here, it should be pretty straightforward to modify this to run on quarry:. Regards, Fastily 01:58, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- That's exactly what I needed. I have updated Wikipedia:Database reports/Transclusions of non-existent templates to an editor-maintained modern format. Happy trails! – Jonesey95 (talk) 05:16, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
