For your hard work in general and especially on U2, one of my favorite bands. John (talk) 09:41, 25 September 2011 (UTC) |

Ellie Goulding & Vampire Weekend
Why do you keep replacing them with bands nobody cares about? 188.141.24.232 (talk) 15:14, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- Because the truth beats lies. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a repository of make believe. Ellie Goulding or Vampire Weekend did not open any dates on the U2 360° Tour. You say they did. Prove it. Melicans (talk, contributions) 15:17, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
Neither did The Fray or One Republic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SuperAlwaysRight (talk • contribs) 15:21, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, they did. Check U2.com, and newspaper articles from those dates. Now go bother someone else. I'm not interested in dealing with vandals and liars. Melicans (talk, contributions) 15:24, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- Any further attempts to add these artists, who had nothing to do with the U2 360 tour, to the tour article will result in you being reported to an admin for continued vandalism. Y2Kcrazyjoker4 (talk • contributions) 15:27, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
Nothing to do with the tour? Yes they did. I was at a show in Zurich where Ellie Goulding played. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SuperAlwaysRight (talk • contribs) 15:31, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- As I said above, prove it. No RELIABLE source (hint: you aren't one) agrees with your claims. Melicans (talk, contributions) 15:33, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- Prove it then! As far as I can tell, you are just making this all up. What reliable source says you are right? Y2Kcrazyjoker4 (talk • contributions) 15:34, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
Ellie Goulding and Vampire Weekend's event listing on last.fm (2010 and 2011 respectively).
- We said reliable sources. Last.fm isn't one (and again, all of the other sources claim otherwise). Melicans (talk, contributions) 15:36, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

Help with Achtung Baby
Could you help me with finding a source to resolve an issue raised about the Legacy section of Achtung Baby? Y2Kcrazyjoker4 (talk • contributions) 17:38, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
- I've made a suggestion. I doubt we'll ever find one individual citation to back up 'many' and 'numerous', but if we pick from the pile of refs we already have we might be able to cobble something together. Melicans (talk, contributions) 17:59, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
Edit request from 4 Stars about bare links in U2 360° Tour

Re: No Line on the Horizon
That revision was reverted, but in another revision, I edited the last sentence of the second paragraph of the "Following section", which wasn't original research. How many copies No Line on the Horizon sell worldwide? ★★★★ 00:42, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- I know; that's why I didn't revert it ;-). The most recent figure we have (from last year) is 5 million units worldwide. These things aren't updated too often; we probably won't get a further update on that until the next album is announced. It's just the way it works I'm afraid. DYK for Exit (song)
On 2 October 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Exit (song), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that U2's song "Exit" was used in the defence of Robert John Bardo at his trial for the murder of Rebecca Schaeffer? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Exit (song). You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Rehab
Hello Melicans. I got your advice and archived all the references from the "Rehab" article. Also I left note for the audio sample on the FAC page. Can you post any other issues? And is it everything okay with the archiving? Greetings :) ! — Tomica1111 • Question Existing? 21:26, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

I purchased the sheet music cited for Until the End of the World...
...and nowhere does the key signature change to G minor, with 2 flats. Hence I'm willing to let this argument rest and since the Gm assertion is incorrect and NOT verifiable. That's why I suggested deleting the verse key change section.
However, I must disagree with your assertion that I "say that the chord change is different than what the source does". That is false. I'm stating what the sheet music says = the sheet music clearly switches to a Bm chord at the verse in measure 13. I'm reading it right off the music! B F# B D F# = B minor chord. This is not merely my own assertion, but what the source shows. Unfortunately, they made a mistake in the sheet music and said Em above the Bm chord. But the chord is Bm.
I'm not trying to be a pain about this, but the evidence in the sheet music does not support a change to Gm. Anyhwere.

Sourcing for The Joshua Tree
I'd like to get The Joshua Tree promoted to Featured Article, but before I nominate it, I'd like to improve the references a little bit (specifically adding additional info to the citation templates). Just like you helped me with bolstering up the references for Zoo TV Tour, could you help me with spotchecking the article's references? Ideally, I'd like to have page/volume/issue numbers for any magazine articles, particularly those without a courtesy copy of the text online, as well as page numbers for any newspaper articles. Would you be able to help me with going through the article's references and making them all a little more comprehensive? Y2Kcrazyjoker4 (talk • contributions) 14:16, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll try and help with the references a bit. School's really picking up again (hence why I've stalled in my user page draft for TTTYAATW), but I'll try and get to what I can when I have a free moment over the next few days. Cheers, Melicans (talk, contributions) 17:14, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Change/Delete of WP:KAREN Redirect
Hi Melicans; I see you created the redirect WP:KAREN which points to Wikipedia:Pokémon test#Karen Importance Test; there is a discussion regarding deletion of another Redirect which, similar to WP:KAREN, links to a bookmark within an essay article (although in that case the essay is in userspace). The issue is, because of the use of the bookmark, the redirect bypasses the tophat which indicates that the article is an essay; and in the case of the other article, it can be used to make it appear to an editor following the link as if the user page is actually a WP Policy page. Therefore, as WP:KAREN is being used as an example in that RfD that such redirects are acceptable, I was hoping that you would either a) speedy delete ({{ db-self }}) the redirect, b) repoint the redirect to the top of the Pokemon essay (i.e. remove the #bookmark), or c) add a second essay tophat at the '#Karen Importance Test' section level so that clicking the bookmark doesn't bypass the essay notification. Since the article is in the WPspace, rather than userspace, I can choose and make the change myself; but seeing as you were the one who created the redirect, it seemed more appropriate to offer you first opportunity to make the change that you thought move desirable in the circumstance. Alternatively, I can RfD the redirect or make of the change. Thanks in advance, eh. — Who R you? Talk 19:06, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Who R you. I've modified the redirect so it points to the top of the article, making the essay tophat visible. Thanks for letting me know, I didn't know it was a problem (though it makes sense now I think of it)! You learn something new every day, eh? Main page appearance: Achtung Baby
This is a note to let the main editors of Achtung Baby know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on November 19, 2011. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/November 19, 2011. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. The blurb as it stands now is below:
Achtung Baby is the seventh studio album by rock band U2. Released on 19 November 1991, it was produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno. Stung by the criticism of their 1988 release Rattle and Hum, U2 shifted their musical direction to incorporate influences from alternative rock, industrial music, and electronic dance music into their sound. Thematically, the album is darker, more introspective, and more flippant than their previous work. Recording began at Berlin's Hansa Studios in October 1990, but the sessions were fraught with conflict, as the band argued over the direction and quality of their music. After nearly breaking up, they made a breakthrough with the improvisation of the song "One". With improved morale, they completed the album in Dublin in 1991. Achtung Baby received favourable reviews and went to number one in several countries. It spawned five hit singles, including "One", "Mysterious Ways", and "The Fly". The album has sold 18 million copies, and in 1993, it won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. The record and the multimedia-intensive Zoo TV Tour were central to U2's 1990s reinvention. Achtung Baby has regularly appeared on critics' lists of the greatest albums of all time. (more...)

U2 vandal
Next time you catch the IP in the act of meddling with the U2 articles, consider reporting at WP:AIV. Protecting the pages through WP:RFP may also be useful in cases of chronic IP vandalism. Dl2000 (talk) 03:55, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- Will do, thanks. AIV might work, though as the vandal tends to strike every few days (and usually different articles at that) RFPP will probably determine that it is too infrequent or a simple editing dispute. Melicans (talk, contributions) 03:57, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

Hello
I see you around FAC and would like to say hello. I also see that you have written one of the most recent song featured articles, "Mothers of the Disappeared". If it is not too much to ask, could you have a look at an article I have been working on—"Love the Way You Lie"—and leave some comments on any issues the article has at its talk page? The article is noticeably long (126 KB), so I do not expect you to give a thorough review. Maybe a quick "Peer review" at the talk page regarding prose clarity or anything that especially stands out on the article? If you are busy at the moment, I have no problem at all. Your help will be heavily appreciated. Thank you, —WP:PENGUIN · 18:55, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll try to take a look at it in the next few days. I have one more exam coming up that I'm trying to juggle with my editing, but I should be able to look it over. You've provided a lot of good feedback at the "Rehab" FAC. I currently have one underway myself, for "One Tree Hill". If you could take a look at it, I'd really appreciate it. Your points on "Rehab" have definitely helped to improve the article I think, and I'd love to have some more feedback at the FAC (the more, the better after all!) Melicans (talk, contributions) 21:34, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Of course, it's only fair I help you. I'll have a look soon! Thanks. —WP:PENGUIN · 21:43, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you very much :-). If I forget and haven't taken a look at it by Christmas I won't be able to get there until early January. I have a notoriously poor (almost goldfish) memory, so if I do forget to take a look, please don't hesitate to ping me on my talk page to remind me! Cheers, Melicans (talk, contributions) 21:48, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

- It looks like I won't be able to get to that article until January. My last exam is tomorrow, but I have a few delayed papers to work on until Christmas, and then I will be heading to Mexico for a week or so with very limited internet access. I'll be able to get to your FAC comments within the next few days, but an in-depth look at another article is just out of my timescale until January. - No rush whatsoever. Hehe. —WP:PENGUIN · 23:17, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Of course, it's only fair I help you. I'll have a look soon! Thanks. —WP:PENGUIN · 21:43, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
Phew; a three hour exam followed by a six-hour drive home straight afterwards and immediately onto Wikipedia to get your comments because I don't know when I'll be on next. Hope I got everything you caught! :-) Cheers, Melicans (talk, contributions) 06:35, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

I really had to give you this barnstar Melicans, cause you are so special and helped me a lot with "Rehab" from the first until the third nomination. I really appreciate that. T H A N K S. (: — Tomica1111 • Question Existing? 21:42, 15 December 2011 (UTC) |
- It's been my pleasure. I'm glad that I have been able to assist you with some aspects of the FAC. I find that every FAC I initiate, the more I learn; not just in terms of the quality that is looked for in articles, but in templates, aspects of the MOS, and even research methods. I hope the same is true for you. Good luck with the rest of the "Rehab" FAC, and any nomination you do in the future! Cheers, Melicans (talk, contributions) 21:57, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
- Sure Melicans, you helped me a lot, not just with the article nomination and its progress to a Featured article, but also with my knowledge, that I will probably use in future situations. I hope "Rehab" passes this FAC. But still, you have more experience with the FACs, when it will be closed and how will I know If it will pass or fail? — Tomica1111 • Question Existing? 22:05, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
- On average I have found that FACs I start usually last for just over a month. Of course, that varies wildly from FAC to FAC. It really depends on what condition the article is in before nomination, what issues and niggles are pointed out, and how quickly they are fixed. Some only last a few days, while others can be over two months. The "Rehab" FAC has received reviews for prose, media, and references; I think the last thing that is needed is for someone to give a spotcheck of the sources to ensure that there is no accidental copyright infringement. I would do it, but I do not have the tools for it. The FAC has four or five supports and only one oppose that I saw; but in the end, it comes down to the judgement of SandyGeorgia, Karanacs, or Ucucha. They don't count supports vs opposes, they look to see if the issues have been fixed and that the article meets the FAC criteria. Browsing FAC in the past I have seen some FACs with many supports get archived, and FACs with more than a few opposes get promoted. Simply put, the reasoning behind supporting and opposing is the factor taken into account most because it helps the FAC delegates judge.
- FAC is usually reviewed by them two or three times a week; I think the next check they will do will be on Saturday or Sunday. If you put WP:FAC on your watchlist, you can see the promotions and failures as they happen. Usually they will do it in groups (all the articles that did not pass FAC are removed in one edit, and all the articles that did pass in another one). They will also put a template on the FAC page; if it says "This review has been archived" it means the article did not pass and you will have to try again in two weeks. If it says "This review has been promoted" it means that "Rehab" will be an FA. I do not think it will be too much longer until "Rehab" is passed or archived. Since the last thing needed is a spotcheck, why not ask Nikkimaria if she can help out? I know that she has the tools, and she's very friendly and willing to help out. Melicans (talk, contributions) 22:20, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
- Really? So the supports or opposes sometimes means nothing... Ahhh okay so its up to their decision. I will ask Nikkimaria is she is interested in doing spotcheck, I hope she will be. Thanks Melicans — Tomica1111 • Question Existing? 09:26, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, although the supports and opposes heavily influence their decisions. If there are five people who say "Support" and give no reason why, and three people who "Oppose" with lengthy details on why the article doesn't meet the criteria, it will probably be archived if those Opposes are not addressed. Sometimes the reviewer's don't even return; that's why the instructions say to leave a message on the user's talk page and post a diff to it on the FAC, so that the delegates can see you have made that effort to improve the article. Melicans (talk, contributions) 14:43, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- I can take a look, but...what tools are you talking about? AFAIK there aren't any tools for spotchecks, aside from the automated ones that everyone has access to. Nikkimaria (talk) 22:27, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- Oops, that is my mistake. I remember you did a spotcheck in an old FAC of mine, but I didn't know how it was done and I assumed you had some sort of special permission that allowed you to search for it. Melicans (talk, contributions) 23:33, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks Nikki for the spotcheck, I think I resolved all the issues. However, Melicans I want to ask you something. Can I upload a shot from the official music video, I mean Am I allowed when the article is nominated for FA, to self take a shot from the video? If that's possible, can you watch the official video and tell me if the frame at 31 second is suitable for taking. It would probably be with caption like "A shot from the music video featuring Rihanna in the desert. In the background, Timberlake is seen approaching her on a motorcycle". ? — Tomica1111 • Question Existing? 20:07, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- You can certainly include a screenshot from the video, but it would depend on what it is being used for. Having a screenshot for the sake of it in the article doesn't work; it has to convey some level of understanding to the reader about the video that prose alone cannot do (the caption should also reflect that). It really depends what you want to include it for; and what you want the reader to take away from that. Melicans (talk, contributions) 23:33, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Since I believe you a lot when FA process is in question, can you watch the video and tell me if there is screenshot that could be included and conveys with the prose itself. 10X:) ! — Tomica1111 • Question Existing? 00:08, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

On their talk-page? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 16:39, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- No, on the FAC. For example, say I wrote Oppose and listed a string of things I thought needed to be changed. You make those changes, or say why you don't think they would be for the better. After two days, if I haven't replied, you leave a message on my talk page asking me to come back because it's quite reasonable to think I may have been busy or just forget. If after a few more days I still haven't returned or replied to your message, you leave that message on the FAC page under my most recent comments (not at the bottom of the page). For example. Re your statement at RFAR
Well said! The timestamps look a bit scary; I hope my silly fiddling with my own post didn't inconvenience you. Bishonen | talk 20:10, 22 December 2011 (UTC).
- Thank you; it honestly surprises me how often people claim that he is unblocked just because he is Malleus, and yet nobody seems to mention how it is always the same people that are trying to get him blocked. The timestamps weren't an issue; I began writing it... I think an hour or so ago, so I copied my content before saving (I figured there was a pretty good chance someone else would have replied; I think five or six people made statements as I was typing). Your post was also very well thought out. I will be interested to see what course of action the Arbs decide to take on this, and whether it will simply be against Malleus or a thorough investigation to see who else is truly at fault. I have my suspicions about which way it shall go, however... Melicans (talk, contributions) 20:21, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- Me too. For a start, it's amazing that Jclemens doesn't recuse. Though, honestly, if the Malleus part is accepted — which I don't see how it can be, since they're always big on the previous dispute resolution angle — I'm pretty sure they'll involve quite a few users not listed by the nominator. But the more likely outcome is it's rejected and somebody starts an RFC to end all RFC's. OWWWWWWW... [/me howls like a wolf at the thought] Bishonen | talk 20:38, 22 December 2011 (UTC).
- I guess no matter which way it goes - Arbs take it on, or RFC opened, or no action whatsoever - it will just end up as a great big clusterfuck on all sides with nothing ultimately being achieved. It's a shame; I think people sometimes forget that we're here to build an enclopedia. This silly drama just turns everything into a mess. Melicans (talk, contributions) 22:23, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

She always does that. Concerning the remixes, only the one I wrote about received coverage (because it was produced by a famous DJ). CU Class Project - Personality Psyc
Hello, I am wondering if you could provide some technical advice. I just moved my sandbox article into a new article page called Epigenetics and Behaviour. It seemd to move OK, but at the top of the page is the following message: This sandbox is in the article namespace. Either move this page into your userspace, or remove the user sandbox template.
Any help or advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.Owleye769 (talk) 19:45, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Hi Owleye, I've removed the sandbox template that was causing the error message. Cheers, Nikkimaria (talk) 21:08, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
Hi Melicans; Hope all is well. I have been having difficulty over the last few days with a Wiki user/editor that has deleted vast amounts of text (around 40% of the article) from my class project article. I have not been able to engage in constructive discussion with the editor on the article talk page for epigenetics and behaviour. In addition, this user earlier today, deleted and/or changed my latest edits as I was making them - literally in real time - possibly in an attempt to block my contribution. I would be grateful for any advice you may have because I have already spent considerable time trying to engage in discussion with this person - which has eaten up my time that could be spent in contributing further to my article. Ultra Violet
You are wrong. On the 2011 edition, the track list lists it as „ULTRA violet”, while thye lirycs list it as „Ultra Violet”. There is NO „Ultraviolet” anywhere in the booklet or on the album cover. — Preceding unsigned comment added by A:-)Brunuś (talk • contribs) 16:37, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of The Rooks (Farthing Wood)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Rooks (Farthing Wood) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Fortdj33 (talk) 18:12, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Satoshidp.png)
Thanks for uploading File:Satoshidp.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:00, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Happy New Year!
Best wishes for the New Year! | ||
Wishing you and yours a joyous, healthful, and productive 2013! Please accept a belated thank you for the well wishes upon my retirement as FAC delegate this year, and apologies for the false alarm of my first—and hopefully last—retirement; the well wishes extended me were most kind, but I decided to return, re-committed, when another blocked sock was revealed as one of the factors aggravating the FA pages this year. Maintaining standards in featured content requires vigilance, dedication and knowledge of people like you, who are needed; reviews are always welcome at FAC, FAR and TFA requests. Somehow, somehow we never ever seem to do nothin' completely nice and easy, but here's hoping that 2013 will see a peaceful road ahead and a return to the quality and comaraderie that defines the FA process, with the help of many dedicated Wikipedians! |

Slug ready for next FAC?
As you may have noticed, I've been doing a lot copyediting on Slug (song). I think the song may almost be ready for its next FAC. I want to know if you have any input to give. Thanks. –Dream out loud (talk) 00:49, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
- If you think it's ready, for sure give it a try. I don't really have anything to add to it; all of my sources were exhausted long ago. I'd still love to see it promoted to FA one day, so if you think it'll pass I trust your judgment. I'd appreciate being added as a co-nominator if you put it up at FAC. Main Page appearance: One Tree Hill (song)
This is a note to let the main editors of One Tree Hill (song) know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on August 9, 2013. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or one of his delegates (Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), Gimmetoo (talk · contribs), and Bencherlite (talk · contribs)), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/August 9, 2013. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:
"One Tree Hill" is a song by rock band U2 and the ninth track on their 1987 album The Joshua Tree. It was written in memory of Greg Carroll, a Māori the band met during The Unforgettable Fire Tour in 1984. He became very close friends with lead singer Bono and served as a roadie for the group. Carroll was killed in July 1986 in a motorcycle accident in Dublin. Following the funeral in New Zealand, Bono wrote the lyrics to "One Tree Hill", which he dedicated to Carroll; the title comes from an Auckland hill (pictured) that he remembered from his 1984 visit. It was released as the fourth single from the album in New Zealand and Australia in March 1988, charting at number one on the New Zealand singles chart. The lyrics reflect Bono's thoughts at the funeral and pay homage to Chilean activist Victor Jara. The vocals were recorded in a single take, as Bono felt incapable of singing them a second time. U2 delayed performing the song on the Joshua Tree Tour in 1987 due to Bono's fears over his emotional state. After its live debut on the tour's third leg and an enthusiastic reaction from audiences, the song was played occasionally for the rest of the tour. (Full article...)

question
Hello, Melicans,
I'm Coyote III from the German Wikipedia. I'm working on an article in German about U2's One Tree Hill. I have prepared the article so far, and I have a question to you: Trying to realize good references I can't find a complete bibliographical reference for "McCormick (2006)" (footnote 4, 9, ..). I found a book in the internet "Neil McCornick: I killed Bono", but it seems to be published in 2011. Can you help me?
Best regards from --Coyote III (talk) 19:29, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, Melicans, thank you for your quick answer. And it was helpful. Now the article is going to become finished, so I can soon integreate it to Wikipedia in German language. It is based upon your article, as you have surely noticed; we import the 'revision history' of the article, so you and your work can soon be found in German WP ;-). And congratiulations for the 'main page appearence' of 'One Tree Hill' in en:WP! So, I say thanks and best regards, --Coyote III (talk) 04:48, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Thank you, user with "fingers crossed that something positive arises", for quality articles on songs, such as One Tree Hill, for keeping the crap in check, for sensible moves asking for respect ("Achtung Baby liner notes uses both. WP U2 in the Signpost
The WikiProject Report would like to revisit WikiProject U2 for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. –Mabeenot (talk) 13:15, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. WikiProject Wikify: Current Backlog Reduction Plan
Hey, I noticed you marked yourself as a member of WikiProject Wikify and you are currently listed as active. I was wondering if you would be able to assist with our current backlog reduction plan. While traditional drives are more structured month-long sprints by WikiProject Wikify members, there is currently lacking activity within the project and in order to significantly reduce the incredible backlog, members are encouraged to review all articles marked with the Underlinked Template Message - {{underlinked}} - a list of which can be found here - to analyze the worthiness of the template message on the given article. Articles that have nothing to link or are have had wikilinks sufficiently added should have the template removed to clear the backlog and make it easier for editors to find articles in genuine need of wikification. This can be done by any editor; however, all editors should consider joining if they haven't done so already. Thank you!
