Vavrečka (Hungarian: Vavrecska) is a village and municipality in Námestovo District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1600.

Geography

The municipality is at an altitude of 648 metres (2,126 ft) and covers an area of 8.955 square kilometres (3.458 sq mi). It has a population of about 1,290.
